“ My heart & prayers go out to the family. What can I say.. Dr. Pace was a special man, as well as, his wife, Mrs. Pace. He was our family doctor for the Pennington family for years. I miss doctors like the Doc.. their compassion for their patients. When you came into see him, he would take time & wanted to know how you are really doing. He would pull up a chair, cross his legs, lean back, & listen to you. He made you feel important & you make a difference. Doc was my mentor & encourage me to go back & become a teacher. Because of his encouragement, I taught for 30 years. He recommended my name to be the President of the USM alumni. I will miss him, but I know I will see him one day. Thank you Dr. Pace for your kindness, encouragement, & being a wonderful person. Again my condolences to Mrs. Ann & the family. ”
