“ Susan, Don, and David, my heart is breaking for each of you and your families at this sad time. Your Dad was such a special man and meant so much to Bailey and me for the last 59+ years. I just talked with him last week and we talking about meeting again in Crystal Springs for lunch as soon as he got past this last injury to his arm. I have too many memories of him to try and reminisce about him at this time, but I will truly miss him and his wonderful sense of humor. As you know, Bailey & I and your Mom & Dad go back to the late 1950's when your Mom and I shared an apartment and your Dad and Bailey lived at the same boarding house. In fact, it was your Dad who introduced me to Bailey. Please know that I am praying for each of you and, of course, I pray for your Mom each day and will continue to do so. I love all of you. ”
