“ So sorry to hear of Lee’s passing. I spoke to him often about Betty Lou (my first cousin through Aunt Rosa Smith Reed) and kept up with her health after she became so ill. Many fond memories of her and it was great to know and see Lee often at loyd Star where we would talk. Being the youngest of some 23 grandkids, Betty Lou was always so kind to me and I felt it a privilege to be acquainted with her son. I am the son of Elmer (Hawk) Smith Aunt Rosie’s brother to whom I had the opportunity to introduce Lee. I pray God’s blessings on the family and especially his son.
