My heart aches. Of all the "little league" summer baseball players that were on my teams with my sons down at Mac Dale Park, Kevin was, in his own inimitable way, one of the most unforgettable. I'll always treasure the memories of his constantly grinning face and happy-go-lucky attitude about baseball as he gave his very best to compete regardless of the results of his efforts. I'll never forget the homerun he hit as a 12-year-old during one of our league games. It barely carried over the right field fence but to him it was a Ruthian clout. He celebrated it to the fullest extent in the what seemed like at least five minutes he took to round the bases in his indescribable home run trot. Kevin was a true Renaissance man and Rebel/rebel. He lived his life HIS way. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have known him during his entirely too short life have been blessed. And I'm confident that Heaven has gained an angel whose presence will make it an even happier place. Happy trails, Kevin. Hotty Toddy!
