“ My deepest and sincere condolences to all of the Newell family and friends. Mert was a good man just as was written! I loved him like my own Grandfather. I will not ever forget the laugh he and I had when he asked me what do we do with all the donkeys (here in South Africa) and I looked at him and said “they are used as lion bait” …. He completely went white and was shocked and when I realized he liked donkeys I said no I am just joking…he then relax and had a laugh about it and I told him the people here actually use them as transport. Then he was much happier with that answer. His love for his horses and cattle was amazing.
I pray God will comfort all you in this time of your loss. Covering you all with prayers for peace that Mert is actually where God wanted him to be now.
