Mert was a great man and fun to work with. He was a mentor to me and many other young guys in the oilfield. I enjoyed meeting him for lunch or dinner frequently in 1985/86 while working together on sister drilling rigs near Cuero, TX. Mert was full of practical knowledge and wisdom not only regarding the oilfield, but life in general. I extend my sympathy to you all and will keep you in our prayers. ”
