Carolyn Wooldridge Oldham passed peacefully on June 30th at Augusta Health Hospital in Fishersville, VA
while visiting her daughter and family. She was 76 years of age.
Services will be held 2:00 pm on Friday July 7. 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Brookhaven, MS. with
burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday 5-7pm at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven, MS. She will lie in state
from 1:00-time of services Friday at the church
Carolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brookhaven, MS where she had taught classes for many years.
She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, Sunday school teacher, friend, confidant, and mentor.
Carolyn was born in West Point, MS and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1963.
She married Sam Oldham from Jackson, MS in 1963.
Carolyn is survived by Sam Oldham, her loving husband of 54 years; daughter Lesley McCormick of Lexington, VA;
son Sam (Trey) Oldham of Brandon, MS; brother Dan Wooldridge of NYC; grandchildren,
Hayley Oldham, London Oldham, Sara McCormick, Emily McCormick, Sam McCormick, and Elizabeth McCormick.
