DUE TO INCLIMATE WEATHER, BRO. MACK'S SERVICE IS POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY, JANUARY 19.
VISITATION 1:00 P.M. UNTIL 2:00, SERVICE AT 2, FIRST BAPTIST, BROOKHAVEN.
The visitation for Malcolm Reese Massey will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. The visitation will resume on Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven from 1:00 p.m.
until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Greg Warnock and Dr. Jon Daniels will officiate and interment will follow in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Bro. Mack, age 87 and a resident of Raymond, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born on March 23, 1930
to Clarence and Ruth Leggett Massey in Dentville, MS. Bro. Mack was retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving for 24 years.
He was also a Southern Baptist Pastor and served all across Mississippi and Louisiana for over 60 years.
He was a member of the Lion’s Club, Shriners, and Freemasons.
Bro. Mack was also an exceptional artist and loved painting and photography. He played golf, dominoes,
and cards and enjoyed drinking coffee as well as performing magic tricks.
He was truly an amazing man who will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Polk Massey; parents; sister, Wanda Higdon; and nephew, Kelly Higdon.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Vicki Daniels and husband Jon; grandsons, Reese Daniels and wife Allison,
and Russ Daniels; granddaughter, Rachel King and husband Wesley; great-grandchildren, Dayne, Addie, and Selah Daniels;
nieces, Wanda Jackson and Ramona Smith; and one nephew, Hal Higdon
