Patricia Cain Fournet peacefully entered the gates of heaven on Aug. 30, 2017 with her family by her side in Lake Jackson, TX.
She was born Jan. 30, 1939 in Brookhaven, MS to Hiram Gordon & Audrey Pauline Cain Sr.
Patricia attended high school in Brookhaven, MS & became a proud member of the graduating class of '57 forming lifelong friendships with her classmates.
She attended Co-Lin Community College in Wesson, MS receiving her associate's degree. She continued her education throughout her life
attending Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, TX & later LSU in Baton Rouge, LA becoming a devoted Tiger's fan.
She married the late Elwood Bowlin of Liberty, Ms in 1960. They started a family in Port Allen, LA having
2 children- Jeffrey Jay & Stacy Ann Bowlin who became the focus of her life. They relocated their family to Lake Jackson, TX
where she continued raising her children providing them with a childhood filled with love.
In 1975 she began a long career with the Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Tx in their accounting department.
She later transferred to the Louisiana division in Plaquemine, LA to finish out her career.
She took great pleasure in being a member of many professional & social organizations including
Professional Secretaries International (PSI) serving as President of the Baton Rouge Chapter, the Baton Rouge Caledonian Society,
the Baton Rouge Garden club, the Red Hat society & many others.
She had a passion for travel & loved to explore the world. Her extensive travels including a tour of Europe in 2000
where she saw the Passion Play, a month long tour of Scotland to explore her heritage, Canada where she had high tea
at the Empress Hotel in Victoria to name a few.
Her greatest pleasure came later with her grandchildren & then her great grandchildren. If you knew
Pat you knew all about her grandchildren's activities & accomplishments but most recently the light of her life
was her great grandchildren Brooke, Payton & Maddox.
Greeting her in heaven her beloved son Jeffrey Jay Bowlin, her parents & brothers Hiram Gordon Cain, Jr & John P. Cain.

brother Walter Cain & wife Melissa of Addis, LA, sisters Alice Cain Gill & husband Robert L. of Brookhaven, MS,
Jennifer Cain Davis & husband Robert L. of Columbia, SC, sister-in-law Bonnie Cain of Brookhaven, MS & many nieces & nephews she cherished.
A memorial service to honor her life is planned on Sept. 9, 2017 in her hometown of Brookhaven MS
at the First Assembly of God Church 226 N. Second St. The Church will open at 10:00 with services
officiated by Ed Jones beginning at 11:00. A brief graveside service will follow immediately at Rose Hill cemetery.
The family request you join them after the service for lunch & visitation in the fellowship hall at the church.
