“ It is with great sadness that I read of Mr. Barlow’s passing. He is one of those people that made lasting impressions on all of us fortunate to have been able to call him Teacher, Mentor, Coach and Friend. He was my teacher and basketball coach at Bonita Elementary School and I have such fond memories of him still, now in my 70’s. I can remember him dolling out squares of chocolate to us players before a game “for energy.” I think he just had a sweet tooth! He brought out the best in all of us just by setting such a great example of what kindness can do.
My deepest condolences to his family, I know you must miss him terribly as he was truly a great soul and I feel so blessed to have known him. May God bless him and all of you. ”
