“ My Prayers are with the families!!! Doc was the first man to ever buy me flowers. I was in the third grade when I came down with hepatitis. As I was visiting in Arm at my aunt’s home, I was taken to the hospital in Monticello. Dr. Pace was my physician. While making rounds on a Sunday late afternoon he found me crying for my Mom who had to return to McComb with my siblings and had to return to work on Monday. My Dad stayed with me but waving goodbye to everyone through the window left me upset. Dr. Pace came in talking and trying to turn my attention to something else asked me what my favorite colors were. I said blue and white. Monday morning I received a beautiful bed corsage which was a white orchid with blue ribbon. He won my heart and has been dear to my family ever since. Such a Treasure. ”
