Helen Ann Yates Mason, 77, of Wesson, passed away November 15, 2023, at Camelot Leisure Living Center in Ferriday, LA.

She was born December 28, 1945, in Wesson, MS.

Helen attended school in Wesson, MS and worked for the American Red Cross. She loved children and they loved her too.

Preceding her in death is her mother, Flonnie Yates Turnbo and sister, Nancy Yates Thompson. 

She is survived by her daughter, Nichole Thompson; sister, Judy McGee and family and nephew Billy Thompson.  Helen will be missed as she has touched so many lives.

Memorial Service for Paul Miller of Hazlehurst is 10:00 am, Friday, November 24, 2023, at Westside Baptist Church with interment at Pine Bluff Church cemetery.

Paul Miller, 78, passed away November 20, 2023. He was born October 11, 1945, to the late Donald and Ruby Miller.

Mr. Miller was a proud Veteran, serving his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid antique car collector and enjoyed attending car shows.

He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, MS.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Cecil Miller, Maurice Miller, Wayne Miller; sister, Nancy Ballard and grandson, T.J. Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Terry Miller (Gina) and Regina Miller White (David); brothers, Neal Miller (Jeanette), Ronnie Miller (Marilyn) and Gerald Miller (Edna); sisters, Linda Emerick (Buddy) and Lisa Miller along with three grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Cruz White and Ben White. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Graveside service for Landen Blake Walker is 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 21, at New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery.

Landen was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to Willie Walker and Candice Lambert, on January 6, 2009, he was 14 years of age.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Nevaeh Walker; grandparents, Tina and Henry Lambert; great grandparents, Gene and Ellen Butler; aunt, Alana Lambert, uncle and aunt, Josh and Brandy Walters; and cousins, Mehlani and Nathan. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

The funeral service for Amanda Gay Treadway will be 2 p.m., Friday, November 24, at Riverwood Family, with burial in the Treadway Family Cemetery in Union Church, MS. Visitation is from Noon until the time of the service at Riverwood.

Mrs. Treadway, 49, of Wesson, died November 17, 2023, in Caseyville, MS. She was born in McComb, MS, October 22, 1974, to Cecil Coley and Kay Coley. She worked as a cosmetologist at her home and took great care of her clients. Amanda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a true outdoors person, taking time for hunting, fishing, yard work, and gardening. She was a loving wife and mother and  took pleasure in preparing food for every occasion. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Homer Lee and Audra Coley, James Golmon, and Eugene and Edith Case.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Corey Treadway; her parents; children, Arin, Dalton, Anna, Noah, Jamie, Dustin, Joanna, and Kelly; brothers, Coby Coley and Caleb Coley; sister, Donna Coley; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Arya, Envy, Ellie, Wren, Eve, Quentin, Jaxsyn, Jorjana, Weslee, Wyatt, and Aubree; mother-in-law, Margie Ann Treadway, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

The funeral service for Stephen Lynn “Bone” Dickey will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, at Lucien Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, at Riverwood.

Mr. Dickey, 68, of Brookhaven, passed away November 18, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Brookhaven, MS, December 29, 1954, to Hugh Edward Dickey and Maxine Coleman Dickey. He was a Pipeline Maintenance Supervisor in the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Dickey is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gwen Schilling Dickey; daughter, Britan Dickey Pruski and husband, Nathaniel; brothers, Hugh Edward Dickey, Jr. and Keith Dickey; and two grandchildren, Harleigh Pruski and London Pruski. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

The funeral service for Kirk Hansen White will be 11 a.m., Monday, November 20, at Riverwood Family with burial in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at Riverwood.

Mr. White, 52, of Brookhaven, passed away November 16, 2023. He was born March 17, 1971, to Marvin White and Mae Carolyn Griffith White. Mr. White worked 20 years as an emergency room nurse. He was a loving and faithful husband and father and enjoyed coaching his son’s “peewee” team when he played. He loved to travel and spend time with his family. Mr. White earned a Bachelor of Business from MSU and an RN degree from Southwest MS Community College. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Leon White.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Theresa Lou White; his mother, Carolyn White; his children, Tony Blair, and Toby Hansen White; brothers, Korey White and wife, Crystal, Kevin White and wife, Vicki, Kerry White and wife, Leah; sisters, Karen Castilaw and husband, Randy, and Kim Thibodeaux and husband, Robbie. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.  

The funeral service for Lauren Nichole McIntyre will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 17, at Riverwood Family, with burial in Cleckler Family Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Lauren, 28, of Brookhaven, passed away, Monday November 13, 2023. She was born in Brookhaven, April 12, 1995, to Jerry David McIntyre and Lora Ann McIntyre. She was employed by R.B. Wall in Brookhaven. Lauren was a beautiful young woman who loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brothers, David “D.J.” Malone and Alex McIntyre; her maternal grandparents, Shirley Ann and Donald Mitchell and Larry Joe Wilson; paternal grandparents, Wanda and Ted Cleckler and Hank McIntyre; aunts and uncles, Vicky Jarreau, Amy and Dewayne Kyzar, Joey and Lee Wilson, Jason Wilson, Tony and Jenny Smith, Ryan and Lorraine Smith, and Sheila Smith. She is also survived by a host of cousins and other loving family members and friends.

 

Tammie Louise Brister, 63, of Brookhaven, passed away November 10, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

She was born August 20, 1960, in Raleigh N.C.

Tammie was a member of the Moose Lodge.

She enjoyed cooking and feeding people, an occasional glass of wine and spending time with children and grandchildren in her pool.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Bobbie Fox; sister, Kim Germata; grandparents, Nancy and Hilton Johnson and uncles, Bill and Sam Johnson and grandson, Riley Walters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Alana Mae Smith (Jamie) and Christopher Larue Smith; seven grandchildren, Savannah Smith (Josh), Michael Gavin O’Rorke, Colton Smith, Lane Smith (Courtney), Lilli Anna Smith, Maci Claire Smith, Jasper Oz Sykes, Emma Kyzar, Declan Alexander Kyzar, Halle Ray Smith and Nova Mae Smith four great grandchildren; along with Harry Kumar and Heather O’Rorke who were like her own son and daughter.

Joey Marie Hedgepeth, 48, of Georgetown, MS, died November 11, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Odessa, TX, April 17, 1975.

Joey was a wonderful mom and she also worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.

She is preceded in death by her father, Darrell DeWayne Baisden; and grandparents, Joan Berry and Losten Berry.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Robert Hedgepeth; mother, Carolyn Thornton and stepfather, Henry Thornton; children, Emily Small, Gracie Hedgepeth, Joshua Hedgepeth, Andrew Hedgepeth, Ada Jones; sister, Julie Grant; uncle, Fred Baisden; her fur baby, Novah; and other loving family members and friends.

Services for Mr. Alfred A. Alexander of Brookhaven are 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church with visitation from 9:00 until the time of service.

Burial at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Alfred A. Alexander, 74, passed away November 10, 2023, at his home.

He was born March 4, 1949, to the late Bennie and Mildred Alexander.

Alfred loved serving the Lord at Sold Rock Pentecostal Church where God transformed his life. He greeted everyone as they came in and always had a pocket full of candy to give out.

Alfred enjoyed cooking, giving birthday money to family and friends and when the weather permitted, he enjoyed doing yard work. He looked forward to a good bonfire and liked going for rides with his sisters and eating the good food prepared by the women at church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Clyde L. Alexander, James W. Alexander and Donald “Duck” Alexander.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Bryan Keith Alexander and Debbie Goldberg; brothers, Ronnie Earl Alexander, Charles Edward Dunaway; sisters, Clara J. McDavid and Helen O. Thames; along with grandchildren, Abby and Kendall.

He will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.
