The funeral service for Mr. Billy Gene Wallace will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, at Victory Baptist Church
with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Monday, Oct 7, at Riverwood and
will resume Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Wallace, 79, of Brookhaven, passed from this life October 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born
December 2, 1939, to his parents, Lonnie Wallace and Nettie Reed Wallace. He was employed in the oilfield industry
as a driller and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and
friend, he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 10 half brothers and sisters.
Those who are left behind to cherish his memory are, his wife, Bonnie Hutcherson Wallace; son, Dr. David Wallace;
daughters, Shirley Wallace, Amy Wallace Waldon, and Terri Wallace; sister-in-law, Minnie Wallace; six grandchildren,
Jessica Reeves, Dwayne Reeves, Carlye Waldon, Hayden Waldon, Grayson Smith, and Griffin Smith. He is also survived
by five great grandchildren, Kai Leonard, Nikola Reeves, Jacoby Reeves, Bradley Reeves, and Kinsley Reeves; as well as
other loving family members and friends.
The family would like to say a special “thank you” to Hospice Ministries and Kathy Sutton and to the one person we
could not have made this journey without, Evelyn Williamson.

Mrs. Sharon Brown Hall, 68, passed away October 4, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on October 17, 1950.
Sharon was retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and loved reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mrs. Joyce Ann Rushing Holmes, 69 passed away on October 1, 2019.
She was born on September 29, 1950 to the late George Washington Rushing and Lois Dean Rushing.
Preceding her in death were her parents and sister Marie Harrell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her ex-husband, JB Holmes; son, Johnny B. Holmes;

“Pee Wee” was born October 18, 1942, to his parents, Hugh Howard Ivy, Sr. and Sarah Lee McDavid Ivy.

Mrs. Margaret Price Hedglin, 87, went to be with her Lord on October 1, 2019 at Hospice Ministries.
She was born on February 11, 1932 to the late Riley Simpson Price and Lena Mae Price.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Hedglin was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl Jay Hedglin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Hedglin and wife, Kay, Mike Hedglin and wife, Cherri
and Tommy Hedglin and wife, Judy.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Sheila Rene Campbell Frazier, 70, passed away on September 30, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on January 29, 1949 to the late Julian Roy Frazier and Glendon Tullis.

Mrs. Moore, 87, of Hazlehurst, passed away September 29, 2019. She was born September 27, 1932 to Louis and Eula Mae Nelson. She met and married her husband, Herbert Leonard Moore and they were married 63 years, being separated by his death. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Brookhaven, and co-owner of Herbert L. Moore, Inc. for 45 years. She is a past member of Daughters of American Revolution, an honorary member of the Willing Hearts Circle, and she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was her passion. She was also a very special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Moore; parents; four brothers; and grandson, Steven Matthew McBride.

Mrs. Katie Jackson Burleson, 32, of Brookhaven passed away on September 25, 2019.
She was born on February 14, 1987.
Katie was a 2005 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and attended Mississippi State.
She was a homemaker and loved all things involving her children and was an incredible supporter
of her daughter’s cheer team at Mississippi Spirit.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister and will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

Mr. Robert “Pee Wee” Glen Walker, 60 went to be with his Lord on September 25, 2019 at his residence.
He was born on July 27, 1959 to Almond Walker and Cleo Marie Walker.
Mr. Walker loved hunting and fishing and grew up on Black Lake in Campti, LA.,
and he was a great welder.
Preceding him in death were his father; godchild and niece, Samantha Coleman and great nephew, Bradon.

Michael Julius “Bernie” Byrne, 64, of Brookhaven, passed from this life September 24, 2019, at Country Brook Nursing Center.
He was born November 11, 1954, to L.C. Byrne and Myrtle Richardson Byrne. Michael was a 1973 graduate of Brookhaven Academy
and completed his education with a bachelor’s degree. He was the District 2 Election Supervisor for 15 years. He was a member of the
Lions Club and was a person with deep love and compassion for people. He also loved anything farm related.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Julius & Cornie Richardson and Reasy & Willie Mae Byrne and Edwin Rank.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Byrne Jackson and Bruce Jackson; and by his beloved aunt,
Laura Ann Byrne Whetzel and by numerous cousins, whom he treasured.
