Theresa Fay Herring Cooper, 52, went to be with her Lord on July 20, 2020 in Hattiesburg.
She was born on June 15, 1968. Theresa was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and being Nana.
Preceding her in death were her father, Vernon Herring; son, Justin Thomas Barksdale; brother, Mike Herring; maternal grandparents, Tom and Frances Winborne and paternal grandparents, Bert, and Lois Herring.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Yvonne Winborne Herring; son, Joshua Everett Barksdale; sisters, Brenda Herring Watts and, Cheryl Herring Aucoin. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kasey Calcote Barksdale and 2 grandchildren, Atleigh Grace Barksdale, and Paxton Cole Barksdale.
Services for Mrs. Kathyrn Jane Boyd of Monticello are 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2020,
at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of the service,
with burial at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Kathyrn Jane Boyd, 77, went to be with her Lord on July 19, 2020, at St. Dominic’s Hospital.
She was born on September 11, 1942, to the late, Benton Emil Evans and Mina Kathryn Hogan.
Kathryn Jane Boyd, better known as Meme to most, was one of a kind. She loved everyone and was always there when someone needed her.
She loved to travel with her friends, and she might have had a small shoe addiction!
She was always tending and nurturing her flowers the same way she always did for the ones she loved.
She had a smile that would light up a room and a sense of humor that would have you laughing until you were crying.
Oh, how now we will miss her come to Jesus family meetings at which she would do her best to set us straight! In all of our ups and downs in life,
she was our go-to and our rock. There are no words to express how much we will miss our mom (Meme). Please continue to pray for our family.

Billie Suzanne Heathcock, 47, of Crystal Springs, passed away, July 16, 2020, at her home.
She was born on March 9, 1973, to Billy James Heathcock and Barbara Ann Brock Heathcock. She was a homemaker and enjoyed music. She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother. Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Billy Heathcock; son, Vincent Burkett; daughters, Kayla Graves, and Andi Tucker; brother, Mark Heathcock and sisters, Cindy Heathcock and Greta Bush. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mr. Edwin Wayne Anders will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, at Riverwood Family,
with interment at Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 21,
at Riverwood and will resume at 1 p.m. Wednesday before the service.
Edwin Wayne Anders was born April 13th, 1957, in Franklin County, Mississippi to Billy Wayne Anders and Willie Mae Anders.
He married his one and only sweetheart, Belinda, on March 11th, 1979. They have two loving children, which in his eyes,
hung the sun, moon, and stars, April and Keyton.
To put Eddie’s amazing life into the form of a couple of paragraphs is almost impossible. There was never a dull moment with him,
never a person that had to wonder if they were loved. He was one of a kind. God created him, saw the joy he would bring, and broke the mold.
He loved the outdoors. Squirrel hunting, fishing, and deer hunting were his hobbies. His proudest moments were with his children and grandchildren.
He was so proud of them and whether it was football, softball, or cheer, he was there.
Eddie and Bendy participated in many clubs and organizations including Team National.
He worked for Deviney Equipment for 23 years and proudly helped many people throughout his career.
Eddie’s charismatic ways and infectious joy always left you with a smile.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife Belinda, loving daughter April and husband Mike and princesses of his heart
Sawyer, Sydney, and Swayzie; son and best friend Keyton and loving wife Hope; loving brother Lane and wife Elaina and sons Logan and Brady;

Mrs. Gladys Laverne Wells Byrd, 89, passed away peacefully at the Beehive Assisted Living Facility
on July 17, 2020.
She was born on May 18, 1931, to the late Willie H. Wells and Irma Harrington Wells.
Mrs. Byrd loved to travel, and she and her husband made many trips. She dearly loved
her church and church family at Central Baptist in Brookhaven, where she was faithful
and dedicated for many years.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Brookhaven and past Worthy Matron.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Walter Benton Byrd; and brother, Willie “Braxton” Wells.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James W. Byrd and wife, Brenda, and Ron Byrd and
wife, Robin; daughter, Lisa Covington Hilbun and husband Mickey; brother, Dan Wells, and wife,
Elsie; and sister, Jane Morgan.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Ben Covington and wife, Beth, Brittany Alexander, and husband,
Tyler, Bonnie Thompson and husband, Justin, Chris Byrd, Jon Byrd and wife, Jenny, Matt Byrd and wife,
Susan, Andy Byrd, and wife Stephanie, and Scott Byrd and wife, Grace Anne; and 15 great-grandchildren,
along with her wonderful friend and neighbor, Carolyn Howington.

Mrs. Davis, 75, of Ruth, passed from this life July 17, 2020, at New Dawn Retirement Center.
She was born June 6, 1945, to Clarence Alexander and Wickie Wallace Alexander.
Mrs. Davis was the owner of New Dawn Retirement Center for 21 years and
a member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Church. She was “Granny” to countless
family and friends, and she will be remembered by all those who loved her dearly.
Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leon Alexander; and grandson, Cody Davis.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Marshall Ray Davis; son,
Hujuan Davis and wife, Sissy; daughters, Carla Murphy and husband, Mike,

Mrs. Willie Virginia Dixon, 92, went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2020, at her residence.
She was born on October 1, 1927, to the late Troy Sloane Malone and Nellie May Wilks Malone.
Mrs. Dixon was a member of New Sight Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

daughter, Troylynn and husband, James Furlow; two brothers and three sisters.

Charles Hurston Lea, 63, went to be with his Lord on July 16, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 5, 1957, to the late Charles Naul Lea and Minnie Sue Thornhill Lea.
Mr. Lea was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Wesson and worked for Keystone Seneca.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and going to church.
Preceding him in death are his parents.

Mr. Tyler Neal Meador, 36, passed away July 15, 2020, in Hattiesburg.
He was born on March 13, 1984.
Tyler graduated from Enterprise High School, Copiah Lincoln Community College, and the University of Southern Mississippi.
He was an agent for Maximus Insurance Company.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, J.C. Meador and Dorothy Vance Meador, E.C. Bass and Verna Bass;
step-grandmother, Myrtle Meador, and great-grandparents, George Tullison Neal and Elizabeth Neal, of Richie Creek, Lincoln County.

Mr. Joseph Ted Evans, 69, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life July 13, 2020,
at his residence. He was born January 16, 1951 to Joseph Alvin Evans and Louise Frost Evans.
He was the owner of Tillotson’s Service Station. Mr. Evans was an active member of the community,
serving as a member and former president of the Brookhaven Exchange Club, member
of B.S.U. at Mississippi State University, and teaching Sunday school at First Baptist,
where he was a member and also served as deacon.
Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin Evans; nephew,
David Evans; and cousin, Owen Evans.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Evans; son,
Stephen Evans; daughter Laura Evans; nephews, Charles Evans and Joe Evans;
