Funeral service for Betty Lou Reed Dunaway Eickenloff will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Harmony Baptist Church in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at Harmony.
Mrs. Eickenloff, 83, of Brookhaven, passed from this life, September 25, 2022, at her residence. She was born June 8, 1939, to Lucius Lamar Reed and Rosa Pauline Smith Reed.
She was a graduate of Lloyd Star, voted Miss Lloyd Star, and was a member of the basketball team, being awarded the “Miss Hustle” Award. She loved gardening. Her yard was always a display of such beauty. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved everyone unconditionally and with her whole heart. Out of all the wonderful things she achieved in her life, she would tell you that her greatest achievements were her five boys whom she was very proud of.
She is preceded in death by her husband, H.L. Dunaway, Jr.; her parents; sons, Keith Whitehead and Lee Dunaway; and brothers, Baby Lucius Linward Reed, Parley Reed, Billy Ray Reed, and Vincie Reed.
Survivors include, Husband, Larry Eickenloff; Sons, Chris Dunaway (Sandy); Ben Dunaway (Annette); David Dunaway (Marklyn); A Sister, Ada Anderson; Brothers, Bobby Reed, Kenneth Reed, & Don Reed (Glenda)
Stepchildren: Curtis Eickenloff (Lori) and Tonya Blackwell (David)
Grandchildren: Heather Thompson (David), Caleb Dunaway (Susanna), Maura Dunaway, Blaine Dunaway, Anna Dunaway
Step Grand Children: Chris Blackwell, Ryan Eickenloff, Bailey Eickenloff, Lauren Huhn (Wade), and Kayley Daughdrill
Great Grandchildren: Haize Thompson, Anniston Thompson, Coen Thompson, Abel Thompson, Madison Dunaway, Camille Dunaway, Seth Dunaway, And Reid Dunaway
Step Great grandchildren: Hadley Huhn, Spencer Huhn, Audrey Huhn, Ollie Huhn, Katie Grace Daughdrill, and Sawyer Daughdrill.
