My first remembrance of Ronnie is on Mr. Summers' school bus. I was a scrawny kid, five years younger than Ronnie, and a perfect target for anyone wanting to push somebody around. Ronnie, not being afraid to stand up and lend a helping hand would say "Hey, leave my little buddy alone", at which time peace was restored. I was even invited to sit on the seat next to him for the rest of the bus ride.
Ronnie stood up and lent many a helping hand during his life and career. A great friend.

Sorry for this family’s loss. I absolutely adored this man. A true servant of God and a blessing to all who knew him. Was our family’s privilege to know and love him. Married Cecil and I 48 years ago.
He is loving heaven right now!

Wow what an amazing man. I remember hearing him preach at New Providence Baptist church outside of Hazlehurst. There was no air conditioning in that building back then. He had everyone's attention though. Those hand held fans were just a flapping and he was just a preaching. I also remember Bible School at that church. He was again an amazing pastor.
