at Bethel Community Church with visitation from 12:00 until the time of the service.

Interment will be at Wrights Methodist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek, MS.

 

Mr. John Deloss Mullins, 69, of Union Church, passed away December 12, 2021. He was born on November 25, 1952.

He was a founding member of the Homochitto Hunting Club where he loved hunting and fishing at his favorite spot in

John Henry’s Shoot at Lake Washington, making cane syrup and spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed help.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ulmo Deloss Mullins and Bertha Lee Jones Mullins; brother-in-law,

L.B. Robinson and nephew, Cody Robinson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Darlene Mullins; son, Brandon Mullins and wife Kara; step-son,

Joshua Allen and fiancé Brandi; daughters, Melissa Hall and husband, Wesley and Jessica Wade husband, Jamie; sister, Jan Robinson;

and five grandchildren Theresa Knight and husband Hunter, Lee Ashton Wade, Sarah Wade, Emma Claire Mullins and John Paul Mullins

and four great-grandchildren, Blakley Knight, Jy’lann Wade, and Knight Twins. Along with nephew, Wade Robinson and wife, Lizzie;

extended grandchildren, Angela Wild, Lauren Beasley, Hunter Beasley, Jacob Beasley, Keagan Newman, Savanna Wallace, Lillyanna Wild,

Adalynn Wild, Hinami Koepp, Arabella Koepp, Lalyn Newman and Kayden Wallace, and special friends, J.J. and Debbie Jones and Lee Buie, also a host of nieces and nephews.

Linda Denise Peters Brent passed into the perfect peace and rest of her Savior on the morning of December 11, 2021 at Merit Hospital in Jackson, MS in the presence of those closest to her. Linda was a faithful wife, devoted mother, playful grandmother, caring sister, and true friend.

Linda was born in Iowa Falls, IA to Lyle and Dorothy Peters on September 30, 1950.

Her family moved to several places throughout her most formative years, but in 1967 she,

her parents, and two brothers (Dennis and Doug) settled in Jackson, MS.

The following year she graduated from Forest Hill High School in Jackson.

Linda married Jerry Brent, her husband of 51 years, in 1970. In 1977 they welcomed their first child into the world, Ashley Brent (Rawls) of Brookhaven,

and in 1990 they had a son, Kyle Brent of Conway, SC. Linda was a blessing to her children who remember her as someone who always wanted the best for them.

She had a special love for her four grandchildren (Grayson Brewer, Lainey Brewer, Charleigh Rawls, and Sam Henley Brent) and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her fifth.

For most of her years, Linda lived in Wesson, MS and was deeply involved in the community there. She was a longtime attender of Wesson Baptist Church.

She worked as a bank teller first at First National Bank and later at Trustmark Bank. She also worked at Wesson Attendance

Center as the high school office secretary and later as a teacher's assistant in the elementary school. She garnered the respect from

the students she served and love from her many coworkers, some of whom became her closest of friends throughout the years.

Linda loved shopping with her friends and fishing with her husband. She was an avid gardener, always working on and beautifying her flower garden.

She was also an excellent cook and loved having friends and family at her table. She was a die-hard Mississippi State Bulldog fan; the sound of cowbells was always music to her ears!

Linda was someone who loved her life and loved the people in it. If you met her, you were sure to remember her, and those who loved her will never forget her.

She was a strong and resilient woman and unwaveringly committed to those whom she loved.

The funeral service for Linda Brent is at Riverwood Funeral Service in Brookhaven, MS on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, at 11:00AM

with a graveside service at the Riverwood Memorial Park immediately following the funeral. Her visitation times will be on Tuesday, December 14th from 5:00PM-7:00PM and on Wednesday, December 15th from 10:00AM-11:00AM.

A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Michael Carroll Jackson of Brookhaven is

12:00 pm Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Dentville, MS,

with visitation from 11:00 until the time of the service.

Mr. Michael Carroll Jackson, 65, passed away December 9, 2021, in Hattiesburg.

He was born on July 17, 1956, to the late William Carroll Jackson and Lillian Maxine Smith.

Mr. Jackson loved his wife, Liz of 27 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing and spending time

with his grandchildren, teaching them his favorite hobbies.

He loved to pick, joke and play with family, and enjoyed shrimp boils, fish fry’s and family get togethers.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister, Julia Mozelle Sanders.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Liz Jackson; daughter, Christina Laird and Misti Creel and husband Richard;

sisters, Ann Scott and husband James,

Sherry Bessonette and husband, Steve, Darlene Jackson and JoAnn Case and husband Keith along with his grandchildren,

Bradly Boyd (Cody), Laklynn Waters, Christian Burgess, Nicole Creel, Courtney Creel and Cohen Laird.

He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews

and many friends and his Fur Babies, Gizmo and Scooter.

Services for Mr. Billy Wayne Moore, Sr. are 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Riverwood.

Visitation 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, December 13, 2021. And will resume again from 1:00-2:00 on Tuesday. Burial at Stewarts Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Mr. Billy Wayne Moore, Sr., passed away December 10, 2021 at his home.

He was born on April 7, 1957. Mr. Moore was a Logging Truck Driver. He enjoyed fishing and painting.

He will be missed by all that loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Kenneth Moore, Willie Moore, Andy Moore,

Chad Moore and sisters, Tammy Jordan and Penny Bailey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Peggy Moore; sons,

Billy Wayne Moore, Jr.; Bobby Moore and James Wesley Rippy; daughters, Chrissie Moore, Ginger Rippy, Brenda Rippy,

Glenda Rippy, Amanda Rippy, Samantha Nickles; sisters, Bonnie Varnado, Connie Moore, Alice Faye Moore

and Sharon Jackson; along with Doris Durr, Chet Acy, and late Charles Acy;

Services for Joshua Tanner Stewart of Brookhaven are 11:00 am Monday, December 13, 2021,

at Riverwood with visitation from 9:00 until the time of service and burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Joshua “Tanner” Stewart, 8, passed away on December 8, 2021, at Blair E. Batsons Children's Hospital in Jackson.

He was born on January 31, 2013.

Tanner enjoyed all things Mickey, Team Umizoomi, and Paw Patrol. He was gifted with the most beautiful

smile and a contagious sprit loved by all who got to know him.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Ricky Johnston.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Joe and Carrie Wilson and father,

Jon Stewart; brothers, Tripp Jones, Brayden Wilson, Conner Wilson, Lawson Stewart, Brooks Stewart, and sister, Sara Wilson.

Services for Jeanette L. Nations of Bogue Chitto are 2:30 pm, Saturday, December 11, 2021,

Burial will be at Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jeanette L. Nations, 80, went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.

She was born on January 15, 1941, to the late Ford and Elsie Nations.

Ms. Nations was a member of the Eastern Star, and Enterprise Homemakers Club.

She loved the Lord and studying her Bible. She was actively involved in her church.

She had no children of her own, but she took care of many in her community and Lincoln County.

She was a loving Aunt, babysitter and caregiver. She will be missed by all that loved her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Loyd Nations, Leo Nations, Carroll Nations, Wes Nations, Rex Nations, Reggie Nations;

sisters, Imogene Brister, Geraldean Williamson, Lannelle Nations and Janice Smith.

She is survived by her brothers, Curt Nations and Don Nations and sister, Sylvia Williamson and a host of nieces and nephews and family friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Amber McKee Bergeron will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 13, 2021, at Riverwood Family,

with interment in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Amber Machell McKee Bergeron passed from this life December 3, 2021. She was born in McComb, MS, November 24, 1983,

to Jonathan Steven McKee and Lisa Machell Givens. Amber enjoyed many different hobbies, photography and bedazzling

pageant dresses as well as cooking and gardening. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife and mother and

will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Bergeron; maternal grandfather, Cliff Givens; and paternal grandparents,

Johnny & Margie McKee.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Isabella Newsome, Karah Stigall, and Camilla Duarte; her mother,

Lisa Givens; brothers, Blake McKee (Jayme) and Elliott McKee; grandmother, Vedia Givens; nephews and nieces, Jettson, McKenzie,

Emmett and Emry; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, and special friends, Daddy Mike and Mama Gwen.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 3pm at Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Gerald Scott Burke, 85, of Wesson, MS, passed away December 7, 2021, at St. Dominic’s Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

He was born in Wesson, MS, March 31, 1936, to David Scott Burke and Ella Day Burke. He was maintenance manager at

Keystone Seneca upon retirement. He was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church where

he selflessly served the Lord as well as his community.

Mr. Burke is preceded in death by his wife, Etta Ruth Burke; his parents; brothers, Charles Burke, Ralph Burke and wife, Sara;

brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Edwina Crouch.

Those left to cherish his memory are his, daughter,

Leslie Smith; sons, Scott Burke and wife, Marie, Chris Burke and wife, Lynn, Brian Burke and wife, Gabe, Kyle Burke and wife, Charissa, and Mark Burke;

16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, John Paul Smith and wife, Bessie and Russell Smith and wife, Jo; and sister-in-law, Connie Burke, as well as other

loving family members and friends.

Funeral service for William Clarence Blair will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Riverwood Family,

with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Mr. Blair, 84, of Brookhaven, passed away December 5, 2021. He was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, October 7, 1937, to

William Loye Blair and Ivy Louise Tolbert Blair.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ruby Louise Barham; grandson, Anthony Darrell Little, Jr.;

brothers-in-law, John Fortenberry and Danny Thompson.

He is survived by his daughters, Robbie Little and husband, Anthony, Melinda Jackson, Beverly Bridges and husband, Shane;

sisters, Betty Fortenberry, Dot Mask and husband, Paul, Barbara Thompson, and Jackie Price and husband, Ricky;

five grandchildren, Aileen Moak and husband, Chad, Guage Herring, Reagan Herring, Tanner Jackson, and Ainsley Bridges.

He is also survived by six great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Mr. Calvin Ernest Jackson, 62, of Wesson, passed away December 2, 2021, at Copiah Medical Center.

He was born in Gary, Indiana, January 10, 1959, to Ernest Jackson and Inez McCray Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a

Glass Technician and the Owner of Tri-County Glass. He attended Mission Hill Baptist Church.

Calvin was a simple man. His love for his family, music, and people in general, tell his story. His love for God, as the

Creator and Sustainer of life, was exemplified by the way he lived and those who knew him best. Calvin was a gifted

musician and expressed himself through his music. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Ernestine Salvage and husband, Bruce, of Valparaiso, IN, Barbara King,

of Memphis, TN, Diane Floyd and husband, David, Julia Smith and husband, Donnie, and Kelly Rutland and Keith.

He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends, as well as his faith family at Mission Hill.
