Della May Storms age 87 of Slaughter, LA passed away August 28, 2021.  Della Storms was an Artist and Art Instructor

for more than 50 years in the Baker, Baton Rouge, Zachary and Slaughter area.   

Lovingly remembered by children Teresa Huegler and husband Biddy, George Storms and wife Lisa, Tina Mullen, and

David Storms and wife Tiffany.  Grandchildren Colton and Denise, Carey and Barbara, Baylee, Candace and Shea, Cody

and Natalie, Kristen, Jacob, Luke, and Samuel.  Grandchildren Brendon, Cole, Caden, Conner, Caitlyn, Ava, Killian, Harrison,

and one on the way, Carter, Khloe.  Loving cousins, nieces and nephews and Greg, Kim and Daniel. 

Della asked in place of flowers, donations be made to a children's charity of your choice.   

Harold Melvin Tarver, Sr. 70; known to many as "Melvin", resident of Gillsburg, passed from this life on

November 1, 2021, at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center.

Born on November 6, 1950, Melvin grew up in McComb, MS. and later made his home in Kentwood, LA. and

finally resting in Gillsburg, MS. A hardworking farmer, Melvin was employed with Beans Farm for thirty years in Gillsburg.

Proceeding Melvin in death were his adopted parents, Sewell and Dora Tarver of the Eastfork community.

Gladys Marie Beckwith, Bonnie Faye Beckwith and Leslie Vernon Waldrop of Arkansas.

Melvin was survived by a son, Skip Tarver and wife Michelle of Brookhaven. A daughter Angela Marie Tarver of Gillsburg.

Two granddaughters, Kitty Tarver Warren of Brookhaven, Cherokee Noel Tarver of Gillsburg and one great grandson

John Michael Warren of Brookhaven.

Surviving Melvin also is a sister, Diane Graham of McComb; brother Len and wife Patsy McRainey of Gulfport; brother,

Donald Wayne Stewart of Gulfport and brother Richard McRainey of Seminary, MS along with a host of special friends.

 

Services for Melvin will be held at a later date at the Eastfork Baptist Church Cemetery in Amite County.

Funeral servcie for Mr. Earl L. Walker, Jr. will be 2 p.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Riverwood Family with interment in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, at Riverwood and will resume Thursday at 1 p.m. unitl the time of service. 

 

Mr. Earl L. Walker, Jr. (Bubba) died October 31, 2021 at home in Flowood Ms. He was born on July 27, 1963 to Earl L. Walker, Sr. and Maxine P. Walker.

He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, Mississippi College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a member of First Baptist Church

of Jackson and an active member of the adult choir.

He was preceded in death by his father Earl L. Walker, Sr., paternal grandparents James C. Walker and Sallie B. Walker,

maternal grandparents Maxie M. Price and Velma Price Dale.

Survivors are his mother Maxine P. Walker, sister Peggy W. McDowell (Jessie), niece Jessica M. Davis (Ryan), nephew Benjamin J. McDowell

(Candace), great nephews Tripp Cooper McDowell and Brooks Camden Davis, great nieces Linley Price Davis, Adaline Harper McDowell and

Maren Elizabeth Davis, Aunt Bettye Weissinger and special friend Debbie Foster.

A special thanks to his Caregivers Cassandra Luckett, Janice Smith, Sandy Collins and DeAndria Smith, for the unconditional love they

shared with him on this journey.

Lori Ann Davis, 55 of Wesson, passed away on October 30, 2021,

She was born on September 15, 1966.

 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Sean Davis and mother, Phyllis Ann Davis.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Curtis Davis; son, Cody Dunaway,

daughter, Summer Jackson and brothers, Chris Davis and Scottie Davis.

Services for Mr. Calvin Michael McCaffrey of Bogue Chitto are 11:00 am Tuesday, November 2, 2021,

Riverwood with visitation Monday, November 1, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Riverwood.

Interment at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Calvin Michael McCaffrey, 72, went to be with his Lord on October 29, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.

He was born on October 12, 1949.

Mr. McCaffrey served his country in the United States National Guard.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the local 1098 Carpenters Union in Baton Rouge, LA.

He worked at the Nuclear Plant in St. Francisville LA, he retired in 1992.

Calvin enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and loved spending time at the camp with his family in Monterey, LA.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents, Russell “Ham” McCaffrey and Mildred Rushing McCaffrey;

sister, Sue Reeves and brother-in-law, Wayne Reeves; grandson, Gavin McCaffrey and niece, Mary Ann Reeves.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Kay Reeves McCaffrey;

daughters, Amanda Brent, Leanne Douglas (Chris); sons, Caleb McCaffrey (Jodie) and Casey McCaffrey;

brothers, Larry “Pete” McCaffrey (Bobbie), Jerry McCaffrey, and sister, Carolyn Hutchinson (Robert).

Eleven grandchildren, Kelsie (Cody), Garrett, Katelin, Connor, Kinley, Caroline, Owen, Hayden, Corbin, Emily and Tia;

two great grandson, Coben & Preston “Blue” McCullough, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all that loved him.

Mrs. Charlotte Ann Rippy, 67 passed away October 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 5, 1955, to the late Evon and Mary Ann White.

Charlotte loved singing, talking to friends, talking on the phone and thrift shopping. She will be dearly missed by all that loved her.

Preceding her in death, by only hours, was her husband, Bobby Ray Rippy; her parents; and brother-in-law, Billy Ray Rippy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bobby Dewayne Rippy and wife, Cindy, John Daniel Rippy;

daughters, Linda Darnael Durr and husband, Timmy, Jennifer Ann Powell and husband and Thomas;

brother, Mitchell White and wife Joan; sisters Teresa White and Mike, and Elaine White.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jessica Lea and husband, Billy, Kayla Stevens and husband, Timothy,

Timothy Durr and wife, Jessi, Brent Rippy and wife, Taylor, Brandon Rippy, Crystal and Jessie Brister, Jonathan and Bobbie Powell,

Thomas Powell Jr. and Brandy Powell. Along with nineteen great-grandchildren and other extended family and close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Betty Nell Weeks on Tuesday, November 2, 2021,

at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church in Smithdale, Mississippi.

 

Betty Nell Weeks, 77, of Smithdale, passed from this life on October 27, 2021, at her residence.

She was born on March 1, 1944, to Elishia Lee Rollins and Velma Lucille Rollins.

Mrs. Weeks was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, J.C. Rollins, Tommy Rollins, Ellouise Price, and Donald Rollins.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Richard Owen Weeks; son, Lawayne Whittington;

daughters, Tanya Cloy and husband David and Tina Ervin and husband Charles.

She is also survived by five grandchildren, Cody Cloy, Amber Spring, Levi Whittington,

Kayla Anding and Blythe Whittington along with seven great grandchildren.

Graveside Services for Mr. Bobby Ray Rippy of Wesson are 11:00 am Saturday, October 30, 2021,

at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with visitation from 8:30-10:30 am at Riverwood.

 

Bobby Ray Rippy, 76 passed away October 28, 2021, at Southwest Regional Medical Center.

He was born on March 28, 1945, to the late Bobby Ray Rippy and Hellen Smith Rippy.

Bobby enjoyed riding four wheelers, tinkering on his lawn mower and chewing tobacco.

He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings, Sally Ray Womack, Luther Ray Rippy,

Charles Ray Rippy, James Ray Rippy, Billy Ray Rippy, and Roger Smith.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlotte Ann Rippy; sons, Bobby Dewayne Rippy and wife, Cindy, John Daniel Rippy;

daughters, Linda Darnael Durr and husband, Timmy, Jennifer Ann Powell and husband and Thomas; brothers, Glenn Ray Rippy, Donnie Ray Rippy,

Jackie Ray Rippy; sisters, Shirley Ray Rippy and Kathy Rippy. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jessica Lea and husband, Billy, Kayla Stevens and husband, Timothy,

Timothy Durr and wife Jessi, Brent Rippy and wife, Taylor, Brandon Rippy, Crystal and Jessie Brister, Jonathan and Bobbie Powell, Thomas Powell Jr. and Brandy Powell.

Services for Mr. Charles Edward Dobbs Jr., of Hernando, are 12:00 pm, Thursday, October 28, 2021,

at Riverwood with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Osyka Cemetery.

 

Mr. Charles Edward Dobbs, Jr, 55, went to be with his Lord on October 25, 2021.

He was born on December 12, 1965, to Charles Edward Dobbs, Sr., and Lillie Dobbs.

Mr. Dobbs was a member of Osyka Baptist Church. He was a Draftsman

and he enjoyed drawing and collecting comic books. He will be missed by all that knew him.

 

Preceding him in death were his mother; and grandparents.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Holly Dobbs; sons, Devin Alexander Dobbs, Ethan Victor Dobbs; father; brother, Michael Booty; and sisters, Tracy Erwin and Amanda Applewhite.

He is also survived by mother-in-law, Kathryn Hamilton, father-in-law, David Hamilton, brothers-in-law, Patrick Hamilton, Alan Applewhite and Danny Erwin; sister-in-law, Andrea Hamilton, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mrs. Sylvia Ann Buie Walker will be Noon, Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Ruth Baptist Church,

with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Walker was born in the rural community of Shady Grove, in Lincoln County, Mississippi, January 3, 1939. She passed

away October 22, 2021, just seven weeks after the love of her life, Malcolm, entered eternity. She was 82 years of age.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 plus years, Malcolm Walker; her parents; William Prentis Buie and

Olive Christine McDavid Buie; son, Gary Walker; brothers, Sammy Buie and Mike Buie; and sister, Francis Powell. After losing

her mother at an early age, she was raised by her grandparents, the late, Ithamar and Jessie McDavid.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Mitzie Rutland and husband, Larry; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Buie and Evelyn Buie;

brother-in-law, Thad Powell; six grandchildren, Scott Thornhill (Tami), William Thornhill (Sharon), Malcolm “Chopper” Walker (Erin),

Jamie Walker (Amanda), Lindsey Terrell, and Lauren Beaty (Dewayne). She also leaves behind 14 great grandchildren, Cody, Ava, Parker,

Matthew (Nicole), Austin (Sheadon), Emma, Dovie, Kameron, Foster, Lexie, Chloe, Zoey, Coleman, and Jaxson, as well

as other loving family members and friends.
