Graveside service for Mrs. Shirley Ann Wilson will be Wednesday, April 27, at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, McCall Creek,
immediately following the visitation, which begins at 9 a.m. and will continue until 11 a.m., at Riverwood Family.
Mrs. Wilson, 84, passed from this life April 21, 2022. She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, December 16, 1937, to the late George Byron Crane
and the late Edna Burns Crane Benson. She worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish Public School System in Louisiana as a Bus Driver.
She was always tending her flowers and plants and she had a best friend, Sam, who was her very special Boston Terrier. Mrs. Wilson was
a member of New Hebron Baptist Church, Denham Springs, LA, where she taught Sunday School and worked in Vacation Bible School.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Ray Wilson; her parents; sister, Bobbie Crane Tibbet; brother, Lynn Byron Crane; and stepfather, Tillmon Benson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Michael “Mike” Wilson and wife, Beverly of McCall Creek, MS and Perry Ray Wilson
and wife Lisa of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, James Harold Crane of Texarkana, AR; sister, Sue Ellen Crane Murphee of Texarkana, AR; four grandchildren,
Gerald Anthony Pourciau of Slidell, LA, Michael Vincent Gerace and wife, Ramona of Melville, LA, Christopher and Jessica Landry; and one great grandchild,
Hoyt Landry, all of Pride, LA. She is also survived by a niece, Nancy Chapman Mosely and nephew, Marvin “Chip” Corzine and niece Cherry Craddock,
as well as other loving family members and friends.
