Bonnie F. Johnson

The funeral service for Bonnie F. Johnson will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, at Riverwood Family with burial in Easthaven Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Bonnie Johnson, of Tylertown, MS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 21st, surrounded by her family.

Born to Perry and Eunice Allen in Brookhaven, MS, on February 9th, 1942. Bonnie was a graduate of Brookhaven High School in 1960, where she was an avid basketball player.

She met the love of her life in July of 1956, R. B. Johnson, and married him on June 4th, 1960, thus beginning a 64-year adventure.

Between moves that brought her from south Louisiana to Texas and home to Mississippi. She relied greatly on the word of the Lord. As the Psalmist, David, writes in chapter 127 verses 3 and 4, “Children are a blessing and gift from the LORD. Having a lot of children to take care in your old age is like a warrior with a lot of arrows.” God blessed her with five children; Connie Wiles (Frank), Dwayne Johnson (Jennifer), Wayne Johnson (Barbara), Dana Vincent (Trent), Wendy Hebert; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Bonnie enjoyed watching her sports, especially LSU, talking with her sisters and best friends, Deleathea, Lou Mertie, and Violet, watching her grandbabies grow, taking care of her husband, and worshipping the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Eunice Allen; her father, Perry Allen; her brother, Lamar Allen; and her sister, Violet Crosby.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of this amazing woman, Bonnie Johnson. What a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she was and will always be.

She was always so kind to me. I loved and dated Connie as a teenager.

    R. B., sir, my deepest condolences. I wish you well and thank you and Bonnie for all that you did for me. It helped me immensely, in my career, family, and positively impacted my life, my children, and my grandchildren.

    Godspeed.
    Steve.

I loved my Aunt Bonnie so much. I didn't get to see her nearly as often as I would have liked, but just talking to her on the phone helped some. I know she is not in pain anymore and is in a far better place than we are now. In the presence of Jesus. I pray for my uncle RB my cousins Connie, Dewayne, Wayne, Dana & Wendy. I love y'all

My sincere condolences to all Bonnie’s family. I had not seen her in about 20 years but loved my dear cousin. Since I moved to Liberty a year ago, I have often thought about going to see her but time got away and sadly, I didn’t go. I did not know of Violet’s passing until I read Bonnie’s obituary. I plan to be at the visitation and service and hope to visit with family. I know you will all miss her.
