A Memorial Service for Virginia Faith Hutcherson Lenzi will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021,
at 2:00pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Virginia Faith Hutcherson Lenzi, 37, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on December 29, 2020.
She was born on February 6, 1983, to Doyle Lyndell Hutcherson and June Rachelle Purvis Hutcherson.
She was a librarian for Lincoln County Public Library and member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She loved painting, reading and pleasing others. Virginia breezed into life a beautiful soul and breezed
out of life in the same way. She was accommodating to others to the point of selflessness. Her beautiful
sweet smile will be remembered by many. Her sense of humor was effervescent and appreciated
by all that knew her. She was smart, informed and went forward mightily. She will be missed
by those who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death was her father, Doyle Lyndelle (Lyn) Hutcherson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, June Purvis Hutcherson; son, Lyndon Parker Nations
and sister, Sarah Beth Hutcherson.
Funeral service for George Cory Hickson will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at
Faith Church in Bogue Chitto, MS.
Cory, 25, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life December 29, 2020. He was born in
Brookhaven December 6, 1995, to George Wallace Hickson and Christina Ann Gross Hickson.
He was a graduate of Enterprise High School and then enlisted in the National Guard,
serving in Kuwait. He was employed in the food industry as a stock clerk. Cory was a
true music enthusiast and loved all instruments. He will be greatly missed by his
parents, sisters, and all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Denver Hickson and
maternal grandfather, Carl Gross.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his parents; his sisters, Monica Bessonette,
Erica Parcell, and Angelica Sweat; as well as his grandparents, Mary Hickson, John Hickson,
Bob Johnston, Nita Johnston, Justina Wenzel; and uncles, Carl Gross and Raymond Gross.
Funeral service for Mr. David Michael “Mike” Warren will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021,
at Fair River Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m.
until the time of service. Riverwood is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Warren, 72, of Brookhaven, passed from this life December 29, 2020 at King’s Daughters
Medical Center in Brookhaven. He began his life in Brookhaven February 24, 1948, born to
William Bailey Warren and Mary Etta Jacks Warren. He graduated with a master’s degree in
Education from University of Southern Mississippi and was retired from the Brookhaven School District.
He was also Maintenance Director for Brook Manor for six years and worked for Steve Shell Station
for over 30 years. Mr. Warren was active in many community areas, President of Lincoln County
Soil and Water Conservation, Brookhaven Evening Lions Club for over 30 years, as well as a member
of Fair River Baptist Church where he taught the adult men’s Sunday school class for 19 years.
Although he enjoyed life in many ways, his most favorite hobby was farming. He will be greatly
missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Caron Price Warren; and nephews, John Bailey Warren
and Charles Mark Warren.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his son, Shane Warren; daughters, Tonya Luper and husband, Heath,
SuAnn Poole and husband, David; brother, Jack Warren and wife Gayla; eight grandchildren,
Bailee Warren Kemp, Chloe Warren, Noah Warren, Rainee Luper Hodge, Brayden Luper, Brandt Luper,
Will Poole, and Bracey Poole. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Owen Hodge and Ella Kemp.

Allie Ashford Hutson, 77, of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord on December 27, 2020
at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
She was born on October 27, 1943, to the late Willie Ashford and Ella Ashford.
Ms. Allie was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Lloyd Hutson; children, Tonya Hutson Smith,
Bo Hutson and Kim Hutson; and her sister Rita Ashford.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Ronnie Ashford, Roy Ashford and Darlene, and Buddy Ashford and wife, Brenda;
sister, Mae Marino, and 6 grandchildren, Debra Smith and husband, Jesse, Renee Durr, Jason Hutson, William Hutson,
Johnny Hutson and Austin Hutson; several great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews,
great nieces and nephews, and son-in-law, Mike Smith and Virginia.
Funeral service for Mr. Virgil M. Smith will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at
Gum Grove Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin
at noon until the time of the service.
Mr. Smith, 74, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life December 26, 2020, at
King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Brookhaven March 31, 1946,
to the late Louis E. Smith and Mary Dell Case Smith. Mr. Virgil was a 1964 graduate of
Bogue Chitto High School and a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church. He served his
country in the United States Army after high school and began a career as a self-employed
Carpenter until retirement. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Virgil is preceded in death by his parents; son, Lance Smith; sisters, Faye Wallace and
Mayfred Summers; and niece, Sondra Case Smith.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Frances Smith; daughters,
Dena Posey (Mike), Rusti Magee (Johnny); brother, Edwin Smith (Elaine); and brother-in-law,
Wayne Wallace. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Ty Posey, Mary Elizabeth Cunningham (Tyler),
Sam Posey, Kylee Posey, Fayth Marie Magee, John Noah Lance Magee, Neeli Magee, and Anna Marie Posey;
and one great grandchild, Maddux Cunningham; along with a host of nephews and nieces
and other loving family members and friends.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Malissa Alyene Taylor of Brookhaven will be held 1:00 pm, Monday,
December 28, 2020, at Easthaven Cemetery.
Malissa Alyene Taylor passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2020 with her granddaughters
and husband of seventy years holding her hands.
Alyene was born November 27, 1931 to James Allen and Adel Thompson.
Preceding her in death are brothers, Roby, Emmitt, and Howard Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Earl (Sonny) Taylor, sons, Reggie Taylor and Rickie Taylor (John Chrestia),
sister-in-law, Ruby Broussard, grandchildren, Michelle Menough, Lauren Brettner (Jackie), and Abby Taylor, great-grandchildren,
Sophia and Alistair, and eternal daughter-in-law, Debbie Smith. She was affectionately known to her nieces and nephews as “Aunt Lene”.
The Taylor and Thompson families shared a unique friendship nurtured by the East Lincoln community.
Alyene and Earl were sweethearts for most of their lives.
Alyene enjoyed keeping a pretty yard and cooking for her family. She had a keen sense of humor,
which she used often. With the kindest heart, she always pulled for the underdog.
Services for Mr. Daniel Clark Watts, of Brookhaven are 11:00 am Tuesday, December 29, 2020,
at Friendship Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery.
Private family visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.
Mr. Daniel Clark Watts, 75, went to be with his Lord on December 24, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
He was born on November 6, 1945, to the late J.W. Watts and Ava Smith Watts.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a Horse Trainer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Reggie Watts and brother, Eddie Watts.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly Cato Watts; son, Randy Watts, daughters,
Dana Alexander and Missy Rhodus. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Matt Alexander (Virginia), Hannah Hutson (Kyle), Cole Watts,
Jessica Moore (Brad), Devan Patano (Adam), Myranda McCullough (Cade) and Dylan Watts, along with 11 great grandchildren.

Mr. Jimmy Eitel Williams, 65 of Ruth, passed away December 24, 2020, at his home.
He was born on September 28, 1955 in San Diego CA.
Jimmy was a member of the American Legion, Hog Member and enjoyed wood working,
mechanic work, riding his Harley, shooting, and anything that brought him closer to his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his father, Ben Joe Williams, and brother, Ben Joe Williams, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandy Williams; mother, Emily Williams; son, Johnathan Williams,
and wife, Nikki; daughter, Kathryn Humbert, and husband, Justin; brother, Robert Williams, and wife,
Kathy; 6 grandchildren, Cody Shields, Kaylee Humbert, Carley Williams, Justin Humbert, Jr., Luke Williams and Keegan Williams;
along with Dixie Williams, Lillian Williams, Evan Williams, Courtney Williams-Martin, Cassidy Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for Mr. Tommie Boyte, Jr., of Brookhaven are 11:00 am Monday, December 28, 2020, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Tommie Boyte, Jr., 92, went to be with his Lord on December 23, 2020. He was born on May 7, 1928, to the late Tom Ellis Boyte
and Lillie Elizabeth Hemphill Boyte. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mr. Boyte was a business owner and truck driver.
He enjoyed working on trucks and vehicles, especially his Mercedes. He was a member of the VFW of Wesson,
and of the Gray Beards of Richardson, Texas.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Donna Faye Boyte; sister, Jessie L. Hilton; brothers, Wessie D. Boyte;
and Hugh L. Boyte and great- granddaughter, Brooklyn Scout Brister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 72 years, Mary Margaret Gau Boyte; daughters, Mary Ann Boyte Brister Herrin,
and Sue Ellen Boyte Gould and husband, Charlie; sisters, Johnnie Marie Acy, of Brookhaven, and Joan Boyte Hester, of Garland, TX.
Along with 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Brister, Tod Brister, Adam Brister, Nelson Gould, Logan Gould and Lillian Gould and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Johanna Cochran.
Johanna M. Cochran, 91, passed from this life December 17, 2020. She was a resident
of Adams County Nursing Home in Natchez, MS. She was born in Wheeling, WV,
April 2, 1929, to Joseph P. Gantzer and Maxine Lucinda Noble Gantzer. She was a
Master Floral Designer for 41 years, but she also enjoyed crocheting hats and lap blankets
for 100’s of cancer patients through the years.
Mrs. Cochran is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Cochran;
son, Thomas Cochran; and two brothers, Jerry Gantzer and Glen Gantzer.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Cochran-Ortiz (David);
as well as a special niece, whom she and Lawrence loved as a daughter, Susan Gantzer-Tully (Luke).
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Holly Snyder-Mutka (James), John Michael Snyder (Jessica),
Amanda Cochran-Zwelling (Rich), Casey Snyder (Romina), Katherine Cochran Miller (Justin);
five great grandchildren, Trey and Victoria Mutka, David and Benjamin Zwelling,
and Sarah Miller; and great niece, Deidra Tully and her son, Draydan Frasier.
