David Michael "Mike" Warren

Funeral service for Mr. David Michael “Mike” Warren will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021,

at Fair River Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m.

until the time of service. Riverwood is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Warren, 72, of Brookhaven, passed from this life December 29, 2020 at King’s Daughters

Medical Center in Brookhaven. He began his life in Brookhaven February 24, 1948, born to

William Bailey Warren and Mary Etta Jacks Warren. He graduated with a master’s degree in

Education from University of Southern Mississippi and was retired from the Brookhaven School District.

He was also Maintenance Director for Brook Manor for six years and worked for Steve Shell Station

for over 30 years. Mr. Warren was active in many community areas, President of Lincoln County

Soil and Water Conservation, Brookhaven Evening Lions Club for over 30 years, as well as a member

of Fair River Baptist Church where he taught the adult men’s Sunday school class for 19 years.

Although he enjoyed life in many ways, his most favorite hobby was farming. He will be greatly

missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Caron Price Warren; and nephews, John Bailey Warren

and Charles Mark Warren.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his son, Shane Warren; daughters, Tonya Luper and husband, Heath,

SuAnn Poole and husband, David; brother, Jack Warren and wife Gayla; eight grandchildren,

Bailee Warren Kemp, Chloe Warren, Noah Warren, Rainee Luper Hodge, Brayden Luper, Brandt Luper,

Will Poole, and Bracey Poole. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Owen Hodge and Ella Kemp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery fund 3698

    Yes he could tell good stories when Tom and I would see him in Walmart they would talk for an hour about cows and hay he was a very good man l know ya’ll will really miss him posted by Gloria Thames

    So sorry to read of Mike's passing. He was my CO-OP teacher at Brookhaven High School many years ago. Part of his legacy was working with many students to get them started on a successful career path through the CO-OP Program. Many of his students are forever grateful! May you find comfort in wonderful memories of Mike.

    Shane, Tonya, SuAnn, Bama and I are so sad for the loss of Mike, He was A great person. He was so good to our Sister and loved her and took care of her. Bama and I will be watching the service on utube Saterday and our prayers will be with you and your family. I hope you will understand that Bama and I are over 80 amd are not getting out at all if we can keep from it. We love you all and will have you in our prayers.

    He was a great educator and s good friend. I got to know Mike when he worked at Steve's Shell. My son, Jason Boyd, was in the same class as SuAn. Prayers for all the family..
