Charlie Lewis Hudson

Funeral service for Charlie Lewis Hudson will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Riverwood Family, with interment in the Beauregard Cemetery

in Wesson. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.

Mr. Hudson, 91, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life June 28, 2022. He was born in Hazlehurst, MS, November 22, 1930, to Thomas Tillman Hudson

and Lottie Lee McClendon Hudson. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Hudson was a member of

Brookhaven First Church of the Nazarene and was a faithful servant of the Lord. During his lifetime he worked as a General Contractor,

building residential and commercial buildings, and he would later build for Habitat for Humanity. He was a gracious gardener as well,

and the phrase “the bigger the better”, was his motto in preparing the soil for his garden. Everyone benefited from that too. He will be

forever missed by his family and friends, as well as all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Barbara Hudson; his parents; sons, Robert Louis Hudson and Mark Edward Hudson;

brothers, Lee Hudson, Howard Hudson, Robert Hudson, and Glenn Hudson; and sisters, Sallie, Susie, Lola Mae, Mary, and Myrtle.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ada Marilyn (Cheary) Hudson; daughter, Noreen Tesolin; stepson, Bradford Meredith;

step-daughters, Judy Gallamore and Rebecca Griffin; sisters, Sadie Carlisle and Lura Barlow; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren;

and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

The family would also like to acknowledge his grandson, Jason Hudson for his devotion and care of Mr. Hudson during his time of illness.

Logan Stone Felder

A graveside service, for the infant son of Joshua O’Neal Felder and Ja’Lynn Pa’trice Hardy, will be held 1 p.m.,

Friday, July 1, at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Logan Stone Felder was born June 28, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. He was only allowed

to stay for a little while and God called him back into His presence. Although so small, Logan will leave a sweet memory to all his family.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his parents; grandparents, Johnny R. Felder Sr. and Christy S. Felder, Patrick D. Hardy

and Salinda F. hardy; great grandparents, Lonnie Felder, Jr. and Mary Joyce Felder, Margaret Franklin, Carlos Mathis, George Clark,

and Geraldine Dixon; uncles, Johnny R. Felder, Jr, Jaiden Hardy, Patrick hardy Jr.; and aunts, Jazmine Fleder, Javazlynn Felder, Shamika Felder, and Jada H. Benson.

William Lawrence Jones

Funeral service for Mr. William Lawrence Jones will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at Springhill Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, also at Springhill Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones, 90, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life June 27, 2022, in University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson. He was born August 16, 1931.

Mr. Jones served his country in the United States Navy. He had a lifelong love of creation, spending time watching the birds feed outside his window

became a comforting pastime for him. He also enjoyed flowers and plants at Zoe Ann’s Nursery. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, majoring

in Forestry, and was employed with the Copiah City Forester Service and in the evenings, he worked at Higdon’s 51 Service Station. He retired from USDA

as a poultry inspector at Sanderson Farms. After retiring, he worked as the Copiah City Election Commissioner. Mr. Jones was an active member of Springhill Baptist Church

where he served as Deacon, as well as on the Board of Directors Church Building Ministries, INC. He found pleasure in helping others more than himself and will

be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Zoe Ann Johnson Jones, after 55 years of marriage; daughter, Susan VanEtten; son-in-law, Bobby Odom; sister, Mary Hannah; and brother, JC Jones.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, John Jones (Dianna), and son-in-law, John David VanEtten; daughters, Martha Odom and Diane Freeman (Kirk); brother, George E. Jones; and sister, Dorothy Williams. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Robert Lewis Rothrock

Funeral service for Robert Lewis Rothrock will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Riverwood Family with interment in the

Red Star Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Riverwood.

Mr. Rothrock, 59, passed from this life June 25, 2022, from King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. He was born in Rockwell, North Carolina,

April 12, 1963, to Arnold Gene Rothrock and Dorothy Ann Breeden Rothrock. Mr. Rothrock was a “gentle giant”. He worked at Milwaukee Tools for 27 years.

He also was employed at Eaton Aerospace for 12 years. Working out was his passion and held the title of former Body Building Campion. He was a very

friendly person and had an abundance of friends. A favorite pastime for Robert was watching NFL, especially the New Orleans Saints. He was also a beach lover,

taking many vacations there with his family. Although he loved his animals, especially the family pet, Pepper, he truly cherished his family most of all.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kim Rothrock; sons, Korey Allen and Konner Allen; brother, Arnold Rothrock and wife, Cheryl; sisters,

Margaret Grubbs and husband, Shane; Mary Donaldson and husband, Bill; one grandchild, Rose Marie Allen; nephew, Justin Rothrock and wife, Ashley;

nieces, Hannah Gray and husband, Aaron, Jordan Simmons, and Brooke Hammond. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Phillip Arrington Case

Services for Mr. Phillip Arrington Case of Brookhaven are 11:00 am Tuesday, June 28, 2022,

at Riverwood Family with visitation from 9:00 until the time of the service.

Interment will be at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Mr. Phillip Arrington Case, 77, passed away on June 24, 2022. He was born on February 26, 1945,

to the late Claude Vernon Case and Gracie Smith Case.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and enjoyed watching any kind of ballgame and was an avid outdoorsman.

He also loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew him.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Paul Case, Jerry Case; sister, Agnes Jordan and granddaughter, Kalli Case.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Blake Case; daughter, Regina McCaffrey and husband, Greg;

along with three grandchildren, Erin King (Paxton), Ryan McCaffrey, Stone Case and great grandchildren, Royce King and Camille King.

Debra Jane Graves

Services for Mrs. Debra Jane Ball Graves of Brookhaven are 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Riverwood Family with visitation from 12:00

until the time of the services. Interment will be at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Debra Jane Graves, 65, went to be with her Lord on June 19, 2022. She was born on November 29, 1956, in Indianapolis, IN.

Her hobbies were art and crafts, she loved singing and sewing.

Preceding her in death were her father, Albert Franklin Ball, grandfather, John Alexander Lawson and grandmother, Vanita Ball.

She was survived by her husband of 42 years, Allen Graves; mother, Thelma Doherty; sons, Justin Graves and wife, Erica, Brandon Graves

and Adrian Graves; daughter, Ashley Graves; brothers, John Ball, Ricky Ball, Jim Ball, and Billy Ball; sister, Barbie Waters; along with four grandchildren,

Jazmin Graves, Chloe Graves, Forrest Graves and Brock Graves.

She will be dearly missed by all that loved her.

Shirley Marie Boyd

Graveside service for Mrs. Shirley Marie Boyd will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 24, at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Boyd, 88, of Diamondhead, MS, passed from this life June 21, 2022. She was born June 9, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, “the city of angels”.

This would be apparent in her life, a very loving wife, mother, and Nanny. She especially loved watching her grandkids play sports and everyone knew

she didn’t mind feeding all the neighborhood kids too! She worked as Bookkeeper for her son’s Jewelry Store and enjoyed painting in her free time,

but grands and great grands were among her greatest pastimes. Nanny will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Ray Bate and Hilda Marie Bate and her son, Lance Dean Miller.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Lawrence V. Boyd; son, Alton A. Miller, Jr. (Dusty) and wife, Stephanie; daughter,

Mona Jean Floyd; six brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Travis Miller and wife, Courtney, Kelly Gunn

and husband, Alex, Nicole Floyd, and Matthew Floyd and wife, Allison; and ten great grandchildren, Hallie Waldrop, Haygan Floyd, Ruston Waldrop,

Rhyder Floyd, Lyza Haley, Harper Gunn, Peyton Gunn, Bailee Gunn, Gabriel Miller, and Mateo Miller; several nieces and nephews and great nieces

and nephews as well as other loving family members and friends.

Rex Allen Reeves

Funeral service for Mr. Rex Allen Reeves will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, at Riverwood Family with interment in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery

in Bogue Chitto. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Riverwood Family.

Mr. Reeves, 64, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life June 20, 2022, at Southwest Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1957, to Mack Reeves and

LeFay Moak Reeves. He worked for Delphi Automotives 27 years, as well as Brown Forestry. He was an avid fisherman and “bucks only” hunter. He loved his

family an enjoyed watching his grandchildren in anything they participated in. Mr. Reeves was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He is preceded in by his parents; brothers, Ed Reeves and Andy Reeves; and his uncle, Ernest Reeves and special cousin Frank Milton Reeves.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Annette Reeves; daughters, Larissa Hart (John), Angie Jackson (Marty); brother, Dennis Reeves (Polly); four grandchildren,

Shyann Jackson, Davis Hart, Chase Jackson, and Marshall Hart. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews as well as other loving family members and friends.

Hazel C. Hensley

Funeral service for Hazel C. Hensley will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22,

at Shiloh Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

 

Mrs. Hensley, 81, died June 18, 2022. She was born on November 20, 1940.

Hazel always helped people in her neighborhood. She was known as the “Sontag’s Sock-It-To -Me, cake lady.”

She was a coin collector, and she sewed and was a clothing designer. Hazel was an amazing cook, and she enjoyed her family get

togethers and knew how to have fun. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was God fearing, charitable and loved reading.

She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hensley; her parents, Louise Carter Newman and William Wallace;

and her grandmother Sadie Carter.

She is survived by her sons, Marvin F. Powell, Jr., “Brother” and wife, Ruth of Prairieville, LA,

Thomas Leon Powell and wife, Jennifer, Rippy Powell of Wesson, MS;

daughters, Susan Hollywood and husband, Robert, of Summit, MS, and Carolyn Distler and husband, Dale of Branson, MO;

sisters, Diane Ballard Woodward, Marilyn Etheridge, and Paulette Andrews (Butch) and Maggie Stockton.

Grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Nickles; Stephen (Samantha) Nickles; Sarah Distler, Blake (Laura)Distler;

Ira Van Alexander, Sr.

Services for Mr. Ira Van Alexander, Sr., of Brookhaven, are 2:00 pm Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Riverwood Family,

with visitation from 12:30 pm until the time of service.

Mr. Ira Van Alexander, Sr., 91, passed away on June 15, 2022.

He was born on January 16, 1931, to the late Esley Porter Alexander and Mattie Estelle Sumrall Alexander.

Mr. Alexander was a former Deacon of Providence Baptist Church.

He worked in construction and was an avid fisherman.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Esley and Mattie Alexander; wife, Aileen Alexander; four brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Ira Alexander Jr. and wife Anita and Tim Alexander and wife, Debbie;

daughter, Sherry McMurray and husband Paul; brother, Carroll Alexander and wife, Davida and sister, Frances Easterling.

Along with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He will be missed by all that loved him.
