Jerry loved his four siblings: His brother, Jimmy Lyn King (Donna), Sisters: Billie King Hall (Joe), Sandra King Sarich (Ron) and Mary Beth Young.
Early in life Jerry took to heart Jesus’ commandments to “love The Lord your God with all of your mind, soul, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. “
Jerry lived his life to serve his Lord God through involvement in his church and ministering through The Gideons International.
He loved people. He engaged family, friends, and strangers in conversation as often as he could. He loved to laugh and loved to cause others to find humor in everyday life.
Jerry was a humble family man who was a good husband, a good daddy/papaw/great grandpa, and a good friend. His memory will be cherished, and he will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Topeka Baptist Church Building Fund, or purchase of Bibles through The Gideons International.
