Graveside service for Edward Eugene Glodjo will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 22, in Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson, MS. Memorial visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Port Gibson Baptist Church.
Edward Eugene Glodjo, known as “Bobby,” to family and friends, passed from this life February 15, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1934, to Edward Dallas Glodjo and Eva Woods Glodjo. He was 90 years of age.
Bobby was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Port Gibson, MS. On June 4, 1955, he married Frances Fay Noble. They were married 64 years at the time of her death in April of 2020.
He served his country in the United States 101st Army Airborne from 1955-1957, where he was stationed in the Panama Canal. He enjoyed talking about his service. He also served in the Army Reserve state side.
Bobby was an avid fisherman and took pride in knitting his own nets. He enjoyed boat riding and the wildlife along the Mississippi River. He retired from Southwest Electric Power Association in 1999 and was employed for 38 years. He also served his community by working with CS&I Water Association.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Fay Noble Glodjo; parents, Dallas and Eva Glodjo; one brother, Elbert “Cotton”; and three sisters, Willa Mae, Barbara, and Betty.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Faye Piazza and Irene Strittman (David); sister, Shirley Glodjo; six grandchildren, Austin Strittman, Darian S. Pepper (Wyatt), Jacob Piazza (Allie), Ethan Piazza (Kaylee), Maria Piazza, Eva Piazza; and two great grandsons, Leighton Strittman and Tristen Pepper.

The family extends great appreciation to Trend Heath & Rehab, King’s Daughter Medical Center, and Gentiva Hospice, all of Brookhaven, MS.
