Graveside service for Olive Ann “Tollie” Jones will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 24, at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. “Tollie”, as she was so affectionately known, passed from this life September 17, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Brookhaven, MS, October 27, 1933, to Charles Burton Watts and Verlie Wroten Watts. Mrs. Tollie spent many years in education and retired from teaching at Mamie Martin Elementary School. She was a kindhearted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Tollie enjoyed spending quiet time reading a good book or tending her garden. She was a gracious hostess and could prepare a meal fit for kings, being invited to Dr. Bob and Mrs. Tollie’s home was truly an enjoyable time. Her greatest treasures were her family and friends. All who loved her will be touched by her absence and her life will always be remembered as a legacy of grace and love.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Jones and their son, Jeffrey Jones.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert B. Jones (Lisa), Timothy M. Jones, and Oliver A. Jones (Megan); sister, Cynthia Briggs; six grandchildren, Joel Jones, Austin Jones, Bennett Jones, Brittany Harris, Molly Clark, and Colby Harris. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
