Mrs. James Alma Fernstrom Russell

A graveside service for Mrs. James Alma Fernstrom Russell of Brookhaven will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Easthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. James Alma Fernstrom Russell, 93, passed away October 30, 2022. She was born on October 17, 1929, to the late Roland Albert Fernstrom and Letha Lillian Swindell Fernstrom.

She was a homemaker and the wife of a farmer.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Edwin Russell; daughter, Judy Patt; brothers, James Fernstrom, Richard Fernstrom, R.A. Fernstrom, John Fernstrom, Joseph Fernstrom and Daniel Fernstrom and sisters, Mary Walters and Martha Fernstrom.

Those left to cherish her memory are her grandson, James Keith Patt and wife, Melissa; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Dickerson and husband, Chris; great grandchildren, Austin Patt and wife, Kara, Mary Ellen Patt, and Hannah Dickerson and husband, Bryce; two great great grandchildren, Fisher Davis and Raylan Patt. She also leaves behind a daughter and four other grandchildren and nine other great grandchildren.

She will be missed by all that loved her.

    I went to school and graduated with Judy. She was one of my closest friends. Mrs. Russell was always so sweet and kind to me when I would visit their home. Judy often spoke of her mother, and you could tell how much she loved her and cared for her. I have such admiration for Judy and Ms. Alma....hard working, loved the Lord and there is no doubt in my mind, they are now with their Maker. So sorry for your loss.
