Jane Herring Beach, of Jackson, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2021.  She was born on October 14, 1948

in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Wesley and Winnie Herring.  She spent her childhood in Vidalia, Louisiana, graduating from

Vidalia High School, where she was a member of the 1966 state championship basketball team.

She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi State University.  Jane met her husband Paul, while attending MSU.

They married in 1972 and moved to Jackson where they would later welcome two sons, Todd and Ross.

After college, she worked in commercial real estate for many years before transitioning to a career with Parents for Public Schools.

During her twenty-plus year career at PPS she was head of the national office and responsible for opening multiple PPS chapters

across the country. She was a huge proponent of public schools with numerous family members being involved in education.

Jane served on numerous PTA/PTO boards and school committees.  She loved to travel with family and friends, frequently

visiting state and national parks throughout the country.  She was an avid fan of Mississippi State Athletics and loved

making trips to Starkville and other venues to root on her beloved Bulldogs.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson.

She was a loving wife, an incredible mother and role model to her boys, loved her family and friends and was strong in her faith.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents John Wesley & Winnie Herring, brothers John Wesley Herring Jr., Jimmy J. Herring,

and Julian Lowery Herring and sister Lanell Jeanette Herring Kidd.
