Providence Baptist was my first pastorate and Dan lived beside the parsonage. He quickly became a dear friend and was such a blessing to me as a new, inexperienced pastor. I always remember him saying to me, "Rabbi, Jesus couldn't please everyone, and you can't either." That was and important lesson for me. Can't wait to see him in Heaven some day!

John Tom and I are very sorry to hear about Dan! We have many special memories of times spent with him. I especially remember the times we all went together to Ole Miss football games in Jackson. I treasure the times we spent planning school reunions. He always lightened up any group of which he was a part. He was always faithful to visit Jimmie Ruth and Aubrey as long as he was able. We have lost a dear friend and we will miss him. Our love and prayers are with you, Eileen, Eric, and with the rest of the family!
