Marvin Oscar Foster

Funeral service for Marvin Oscar Foster will be 2 p.m., Friday, August 12, at Stronghope Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Reverend Matt Scopel will officiate.

Mr. Foster, 56, passed from this life August 9, 2022, in Wesson, MS. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island, April 13, 1966, to Willard Boyd Foster and Ruth Anne Lewis Foster. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Foster provided for his family as a Truck Driver and Mechanic. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Patty D. Foster; daughter, Jessica Branch (Christopher); brother, Mike Foster; two grandchildren, Logan and Matthew Branch; and one nephew, Wyatt Foster. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

    Very sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Oscar in the late 80s when I worked at Pizza Hut in Hazelhurst. He was such a friendly, happy guy. Prayers for your family

    Oscar Foster was a wonderful friend that I have known all of my life. We went to school together & he was such a good friend & always having a good time when we were together as kids.I considered him a wonderful friend & my heart was really broken upon hearing the news of his death. R.I.P my friend. You will never be forgotten.
