    Dear Mary,
I cannot even relate to how much it hurts losing your precious, beautiful Christie. You were a wonderful mother to her and your relationship was very special.
Her passing has left a giant hole in your heart that can never be filled, nor should it be. Sam and I will keep you and Ricky as well as Christie's boys in our prayers for God's peace and comfort .

I can honestly say that you were one of a kind. You have always encouraged your students to work hard and do their best. I don't believe they make teachers like you anymore. You will be missed. My prays go out to your family and friends. Love always, Delora, Class of '97

You will always be remembered as "Momma Elkins" to the class of '96. I think each of us had our own challenges or struggles that we went through. You knew about most of them and if not you learned about them the summer of '96. We love and will definitely miss you!!
