Funeral services for Mrs. Annelle “Fuller” McGuffie will be
10:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Riverwood Family with
burial at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14 at Riverwood Family.
Annelle Fuller McGuffie, 80, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on
Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in Brookhaven. She was born on
October 9, 1937 to Purvis Winfield Fuller and Eva Nell Brown Fuller.
She was retired from Kellwood, but continued to be a homemaker,
taking care of her family. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul McGuffie; parents and one brother, Kenneth Fuller.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky L. McGuffie and wife, Angela,
Danny Paul McGuffie and wife, Kathy; grandsons, Ricky “Matt” McGuffie and wife,
Kim, Jason Paul McGuffie and wife, Jessica, Bobby Everette McGuffie and wife,
Lindsey, Danny “DJ” Paul McGuffie, Jr.; brother, Wayne Fuller; sisters, Patsy Sullivan
and Brenda Grice. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Visitation for Alice Warren will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Brookhaven with services to follow at 1:00 pm. Rev. Anne Matthews will officiate.
Alice Warren, age 86 and a resident of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord on December 12, 2017. She was born on September 11, 1931
to Hugh Ferguson and Francis Smith. Alice was a registered nurse. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her step-father, Rufus M. Case; Yvonne Ogle of TN and Pat Jacobson of Baton Rouge.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Doug, Donald, Paul and Daryl Warren; sister, Dorthey Elaine Benson; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Tom Frank Kirkpatrick, Jr. died on Sunday, December 10th at his residence in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He was 52 years old.
Tom was born on February 10th, 1965 in Starkville to Tom Frank Kirkpatrick, Sr. and the late Judith Ann Entrican Kirkpatrick.
Tom graduated from Jackson Academy in 1983 and the University of Mississippi in 1987,
where he was an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
He served in the United States Army as 1st Lt. and was a former member of the Mississippi National Guard Reserves.
Tom spent most of his adult life in Jackson, Brookhaven and Starkville.
He had an undeniable love for his two daughters, Indie and Mallory and a passion for Texas country music.
Tom leaves behind his daughters, Elizabeth Indie Kirkpatrick of Three Rivers, TX and Mallory Day Kirkpatrick of Birmingham, AL,
his father, Tom Frank Kirkpatrick Sr., his sister, Carrie Ann Stallings, and her husband, Alan E. Stallings, Jr. of Jackson and niece, Ann Walt Stallings of Boston, MA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Ann Entrican Kirkpatrick and his nephew, Alan E. Stallings, III.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm at Hawkins Chapel Methodist Church on Friday, December 15th. A private burial will be held following the service.

Mr. Franklin Delano Leggett, 83, died on December 9, 2017 at Vivian Health Care.
He was born on November 18, 1932 to Van S. Leggett and Claira Johnson Leggett.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a retired Baptist Minister.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Billy Frank; sisters, Junie Bell Miller, Shirley Harris;
brothers, Buddy Leggett and Rayford Leggett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alloyd Leggett; daughters, Elaine Bounds and Eileen Isonhood;
sisters Ruth Myers, Marylou Auvil, Emma Jane Hoggett and Nell Walton.
He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Melinda Neal, Jammie Reeves, Eric Isonhood,
Michele Heflin and Renee Patterson and 11 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
Services for Lois Marie Albritton Hart will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 with the visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. Rev. Greg Warnock will officiate, and interment will follow in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Lois, age 92 and a resident of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017.
She was the daughter of John Albritton and Katie Lee Brown Albritton Freeman.
Lois was a retired clerk for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven, and was a member of the Joy Choir
Lois was very involved in her community, serving in the LLL, ILR, and volunteering at KDMC.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hoyte Hart; brother, Donald Albritton; sisters, Kathleen Albritton, Mavis Travis, Carolyn Blalock;
granddaughters, Michaelle Davis, Cissy Grisham; and great-grandson, Landen Grisham.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Deron Hart and wife Liz of Albuquerque, NM, and David Hart and wife Gena of Brookhaven;
daughters, Diane Davis of Brookhaven, and Connie Boyd and husband Larry of Brookhaven. She is also survived by her brothers,
Tom “Reggie” Freeman, Larry Freeman, and Lamar Freeman, all from Baton Rouge, LA; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnnie “Jewel” Martin, 91, passed away on December 6, 2017 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Brookhaven.
She was born on June 18, 1926 to Willie Ellis Daniel Martin and Mollie Mary Jane Williamson Martin.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, homemaker and bookkeeper for several retail stores. She enjoyed quilting and painting.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Jesse Martin and Estus “Shine” Martin;
sisters, Myrtis Allen, Delores Thames, Elvis Sartin and Melva Boyte.

Mr. Kirby Conrad Smith, 82, of Terry, MS, passed away December 5, 2017
at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1935 to Willie Hewitt Smith and
Grace Dexter Smith. He was employed with Mississippi Department of
Transportation as a Draftsman. Mr. Smith served his country in the
United States Army and National Guard. He was a member of Crystal Springs Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Jo Allen, Elaine Prouty;
and brothers, Maurice Smith and Willie “Bubba” Hewitt Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 54 years, Barbara Jean Smith;
son, Kirby H. Smith; daughter, Angie Leah Smith; sisters, Arva Pearl Smith,
and Neva Smith and by one grandchild, Gunner Smith.

at Riverwood, and will continue at the church at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Joseph Daniel Mayfield, also known as “The Lil Debbie Man”, 75, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on December 5, 2017
at his residence. He was born in Mize, MS on June 22, 1942 to James Daniel Mayfield and Ruby Walker Mayfield.
He was a driver for Ken’s Delivery Service and served his country in the United States National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife, Amie Mayfield; sons, Joseph Daniel Mayfield, Jr. (Deana), James Darren Mayfield (Brenda),

at First United Methodist Church with visitation from 12:00 until time of service on Thursday.

Mrs. Nellene “MiMi” Philpott, 83, died on December 4, 2017 at Silver Cross Living Center.
She was born on October 14, 1934 to Ellis and Lorene Clanton Knight in Dadeville, AL.
Nellene was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church and a retired secretary of Copiah Lincoln Community College and Potter Company.
She was also the organist at Wesson Baptist Church and Easthaven Baptist Church for many years.
Nellene was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ellis Russell of Wesson; husband, Carey Philpott of Valley, AL;
sister, Bettye Duffey and husband Owen of Valley, AL; as well as great-nephew, Chase Cantrell of Fort Worth, TX.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son; Steve Russell of Brookhaven; daughter, Lori Salyer of Brookhaven;
grandchildren, Lori Beth Kearley and husband Les of Birmingham, AL, Lindy Coleman and husband Taylor of Brookhaven,

Jimmy Wayne Roberts, 74 of Monticello, passed away at the Courtyard Rehab on December 2, 2017.
He was born on May 1, 1943 to the late J.B. Roberts and Erma Calhoun Roberts
He was a retired electrician and owner of Roberts Electric and was a member of
Monticello Baptist Church and was a Gospel Singer.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and daughter, Michelle Roberts.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sherry Roberts; son, Tony Roberts of Collierville, TN;
daughter, Sonya Schwarzauer of Sumrall, MS.
and step-daughter, Gina Thurman of Monticello, MS.; sisters, Cherry Lambert and Billie Price Shealy
both of Flowood, MS; brother, Carroll Roberts of Sumter, SC.
He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren.
Mr. Roberts will have a private memorial at a later date.
