A private service for Mr. James R. Brown, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Riverwood Family with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
Mr. James R. Brown, 85, of Brookhaven, passed away on May 3, 2020.
He was born on January 7, 1935, to the late Clifford McKinley Brown and Lee Etta Wilkinson. He was retired from Chevron
and was a member of Jackson Street United Methodist Church. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter, Courtney Marie Case; brothers, Clifford Brown, Jr., Alvin J. Brown,
sisters, Opal Hare, Mickey Bosworth, and son-in-law, Michael A Carr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Fay Nevels Brown; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Brown Carr, Anna Lisa Brown Case (Kim),
and Julie Marie Brown Case (Anthony). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Chadwick Michael Carr, Bradford James Carr, Zachary Memphis Carr,
Brandon Gage Case, and Madison Elizabeth Case; brothers-in-laws, Ralph Nevels (Sue) and Memphis Howard Nevels.
