Kathryn Jane Boyd

Services for Mrs. Kathyrn Jane Boyd of Monticello are 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2020,

at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of the service,

with burial at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kathyrn Jane Boyd, 77, went to be with her Lord on July 19, 2020, at St. Dominic’s Hospital.

She was born on September 11, 1942, to the late, Benton Emil Evans and Mina Kathryn Hogan.

Kathryn Jane Boyd, better known as Meme to most, was one of a kind. She loved everyone and was always there when someone needed her.

She loved to travel with her friends, and she might have had a small shoe addiction!

She was always tending and nurturing her flowers the same way she always did for the ones she loved.

She had a smile that would light up a room and a sense of humor that would have you laughing until you were crying.

Oh, how now we will miss her come to Jesus family meetings at which she would do her best to set us straight! In all of our ups and downs in life,

she was our go-to and our rock. There are no words to express how much we will miss our mom (Meme). Please continue to pray for our family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ramon Boyd; granddaughters, Chrissy Lawrence, and Layla Russell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ken Lawrence, and wife, Deneane and Alex Russell; daughter, Koni Letchworth;

daughter in heart, not blood, Loretta Reed; brothers, George Evans, Bob Evans, Tommy Evans, Joe Evans and 8 grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

    There are not enough words to describe what this woman means to me. It seemed like she was always right around the corner at the store waiting for me on my hardest days. I will miss her more than words can say. My heart is broken. I love you Ms. Kathy. I can’t wait to see you again.

    Kathy was my friend, went to high school together, had “spend the night” parties, went to ballgames and spent a lot of time together. Kathy was there for me during some difficult times in my life. She spent the morning with me the day before my brother,Jeff, passed away last September. I will miss her. Rest in peace, Kathy. Love, Sue
