Mr. Smith was born at his parent’s home in East Lincoln Co., MS on January 3, 1929, to Woodie H. Smith and Loise Townsend Smith.
Mr. Smith grew up on his parent's farm and always loved raising cattle and had a green thumb for gardening but his main passion was
for building houses and was a local Contractor for over 40 years who has many homes in the area as his legacy.
He stopped building due to health issues in his early 80's.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Quinnie L. Williams Smith, his parents, his brother, Charles W. Smith,
his son-in-law who he treated like his son, Michael H. "Sarge" Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Patricia "Pat" Smith, and his son, Jessie Ronnie Smith. His brothers and sisters-in-law, John H. and Patsy Smith,
and Ralph H. and Aby Smith, and his sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Chuck Carter. His grandchildren, Christopher Smith and wife Christina Smith,
and Alanna M. Smith and husband Tracey Case, and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Quinn J. Smith, and Wrynn Case.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend who called him Pop, Jennifer Moak, and his very special caregivers,
who all became family, Rose Hux, Shea Ballard, Kristen Delaughter, Teresa Poole, Sonya Melvin, and Patricia Shaw.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Compassus and Riverwood Family.
