Funeral service for Mrs. Geraldine Faye Barnes will be 11 a.m., Wednesday,

January 20, 2021, at Monticello Baptist Church with burial in Monticello Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Barnes, 82, of Monticello, passed from this life January 19, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Sontag, MS September 22, 1938 to her parents, William Purvis Gibson

and Agnes Keene Gibson. She was co-owner of Western Auto Associate in Monticello for

26 years and a member of Monticello Baptist Church. She enjoyed several hobbies,

camping, traveling, tennis, fishing, playing bridge, and sports. She was also a member of the Coterie Club.

She is preceded in death by her son, David Allen Barnes and her parents.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Clifford Dale Barnes; daughter, Sharon Stamps; sister, JoAnne Williams; one granddaughter, Jennifer Davis (Barry) and two great granddaughters, Claire Keyes and Emma Keyes; as well as other loving family members and friends.
