The funeral service for Columbus Campbell Goza will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, at Riverwood Family with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m., Monday, October 21, at Riverwood, and will resume from Noon until the time of service on Tuesday.
Mr. Goza, 80, of Brookhaven, died October 17, 2024, at King’s Daughters Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Magnolia, MS, December 29, 1943, to Campbell Columbus Goza and Kathrine Hall Goza. He served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.
Columbus was a loving and faithful husband, father, Pops, and Grandfather. He was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He worked as a Truck Driver to provide well for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and photography. Columbus wore many hats and like Will Rogers, never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Linda Goza.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Goza; children, Jennifer Goza, James Goza, Noel Travis and Donnie Key; stepchildren, Sheila King, Willie Terrel Coon, Donald Coon, Terry Coon, Belinda Youngblood, and Tammy Arnold brothers, Henry Goza, Willie Goza; 13 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. He was also blessed to have four great, great grandchildren as well as a host of other loving family members and friends.
The Goza family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at King’s Daughters Medical Center for their compassionate care while Mr. Columbus was with them.
