I met John the first time when my husband at the time Leroy Harris and I picked him up from the airport when he came home after the Navy. A handsome young man in uniform. Later I got to meet his sweet wife Mary. We didn't remain close through the years but was always glad to see him and catch up on what was happening in our lives at the time. I'm so sorry for your loss. Loved him

Going to miss you Cuz. You were by BIG cousin who I always looked up to. You were always so full of life and lived a large life!!! You were the outdoorsman who never missed a chance to go fishing or hunting!! But you were also a family man who was there for them. I will always cherish our times together that we had when I would come and stay with you out at Hurricane Lake!! That was such an awesome place!! Wish I could have been able to spend more time out there with you. I also wish that I was able to attend your funeral today but no way I could escape work. We talked about having to work and how it sometimes kept you away from some important things. This is one of those times I needed to be there but could not. God Speed John Ray!!! Will see you all again some day!!
