Funeral service for Mrs. Nelda Faye Coghlan Rollins will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at New Prospect Baptist Church,
with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Riverwood.
Mrs. Rollins, 79, of Brookhaven, completed her journey here on earth Saturday, July 13, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center,
with her family by her side. She now resides with her Lord and with the others who have gone before her. Mrs. Faye was born May 11, 1940,
to her parents, the late Frank Luther Coghlan and L E Hammack Coghlan. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse until her retirement and
has been a faithful member and friend of New Prospect Baptist Church. Mrs. Faye was not an idle person, she was a member of the
Fifty Plus Club, Golden Girls, and the Lucy Keene Sunday School Class at New Prospect. She was a kindhearted lady, and she loved
her family with all her heart. Spending time with her grandchildren was the bright spot in her life. She was an excellent gardener as
well, flowers being her favorite pastime. She also loved raising all kinds of animals, including quails and chickens. There will truly
be no replacement for our mother and grandmother and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Rollins; parents; sisters, Hazel Bordelon and Laura Williams; and brothers, Jack Coghlan,
Derald Coghlan, and Cecil Coghlan.
Those who remain here to cherish her memories are her daughters, Cynthia Rollins-Smith (Chuck) and Sherry Hatcher (Randall); brothers,
Jasper Coghlan and Garland Coghlan; sisters, Jean Murray and Carline Bordelon; three precious grandchildren, Cody Smith, Lauren Hatcher,
and Garrett Hatcher; and her special friends, Hilda Pritchard, Aloise Beasley, Doris Gill, Francis Granger and Pina Ritchie;
as well as other loving family members and friends.
