I am truly sorry for y’all’s loss. I first met Randy over 20 years ago when he brought a deer for me to process for y’all. I always enjoyed our short visits . I was an oilfield guy then so we had common things to talk about. I pray God’s comfort upon you all. I will miss his yearly visit with the deer for me to process. He always had a big smile and a kind word to share.

    Dear Pennington Family

    Please accept my deepest condolences.
Randy joined my team on the Deepwater Nautilus in 2006 when he joined Shell,
From the moment of the interview it was clear to me that Randy is a true, honest and dedicated person with the capability to serve in the best interest of the team at all times. His working ethics, skill and competencies in combination with his personality are a rare and valuable combination, that made him a valued and respected member of the "Mighty Nautilus" team.
It was an honor to have him in the team.
    Whishing you all strength
    Warm Regards

I had the pleasure of working with Randy on the Transocean Nautilus when he first went to work for Shell. I have many great memories from that time and the years that followed as Randy developed into a well rounded Drilling Foreman for Shell. Randy had a heart of gold and was as fine of a person as I’ve ever known. Prayers go out to the family in this time of sorrow.

I had the opportunity to talk hunting and drilling offshore with Randy. He treated people well, and certainly he was well liked! I can say emphatically, that Randy had my respect as working man, as as a Believer! The loss will be felt with anyone who really knew Randy.

Randy is one of the most sound people in his ethics, morals, and integrity that I know. He truly loved his family, friends, and neighbors. Respect between he and his collogues is commendable. The friendships that Randy built through his life are truly cherished. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Condolences to his family.
